Become an Educator

Essentials Before Registration

• Working With Children Check and Police Check (for all adults in the home)
• First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Training
• Certificate III (minimum) in Early Education and Care
• Public Liability Insurance (approximately $600 per year)
• Business registration (ABN)
• Safe, hygienic and child-friendly home (we will guide you through this process)
• A sense of fun and adventure

Setting Up Your Space

We’ll help you create an inviting, nature-rich environment that includes:

• Child-sized furniture, eco-friendly toys and art materials
• Safe sleep equipment and hygiene tools
• Fire safety equipment and regular compliance checks

You will also need a tablet or laptop, printer, and access to our Harmony Educator Portal (small weekly instalments).

If You Use a Vehicle

• Roadworthy certificate, appropriate child restraints and insurance
• Assistance available for car seat fitting

Running Your Business

As a registered educator with The Wonder Approach, you operate your own business with full support.  You set your own hourly rate and minimum hours to suit your experience and program.

Your small weekly educator levy covers:

• Mentoring, training and administrative support
• Fire safety checks
• Access to resources and professional networks
• Community and creative events

You also get access to our Wonder Warehouse -a magical place of learning. Even if you are working at a distance from our enchanted castle (okay office) we will build relationships via your membership to our story, dance ,art and circus channel

How to Begin

1. Express your interest – complete the online form below and we will send you an information pack.
2. Meet and greet – discuss your goals and home environment.
3. Home visit – we’ll guide you through safety and setup.
4. Complete training and documentation.
5. Final approval – join our network of Wonder Educators.
